The multi-award-winning Dutch interior designer Roelfien Vos creates luxurious interiors for yachts, residential, and hospitality projects around the world. She has been running her own firm, Roelfien Vos Interior Design & Architecture, since 2010. Her distinctive style combines custom-made pieces, contemporary design, and unique finds. With a keen sense for materials, colors, and forms, she creates expressive spaces with a unique character.
Roelfien’s creative process begins with dialogue with her team and is guided by her clients’ wishes and the specific location. Inspired by nature, travel, cultures, and art, she combines materials, colors, and shapes to create unique, eclectic interiors. Her new studio in northern Amsterdam reflects this creative approach and serves as both a workspace and a gathering place.

For Roelfien Vos, a modern office should feel as little as possible like a traditional workplace. Her new studio therefore combines workspaces, lounges, a kitchen, bathrooms, a creative lab, and a materials library into a holistic creative environment. The design is characterized by a variety of materials and textures, muted colors, and deliberate contrasts. Cozy areas encourage interaction and socializing, while acoustics and air quality complement the concept.
COYA’s design language blends harmoniously with Roelfien Vos’s signature approach to geometry. In the guest bathroom of her studio, she reinterprets the faucet with custom-crafted travertine inlays that complement the vanity and walls. In this way, COYA becomes an expression of her personal design style and showcases the diverse possibilities of customization.
